The synagogue is designed as a cultural center, and consists of a library, restaurant and classes. The synagogue was founded in 1330 SH (1951–1952 AD) in Bagh Saba neighborhood near old Shemiran road. The synagogue was founded in a small room given by a resident of Moghaddam Street, Sulaiman Razeghi. Soon after Salim Karandian who was also a resident of Moghaddam Street, gave his house to the synagogue and accepted to pay for the utility charges of the synagogue. With an increase in Jewish relocation to this neighborhood the synagogue grew in size and infrastructure. Soon after Salim Karandian moved from the neighborhood and had to sell the property to the others such as Noorallah Hai. The synagogue has an area of , with a smaller area in the second floor. Salim Karandian donated all of the marble stones for the building for free.
